Procurement guidance · Updated 29 October 2026 · Manufacturer references identify product context; offered lots and system suitability require separate review.
The purchasing problem
An enquiry for “LoRa chips” leaves several commercial and engineering questions unanswered. Procurement needs a device identity, quantity, delivery schedule and a clear distinction between a bare IC and a complete radio module.
What changes the requirement
LoRa modulation support is not a complete LoRaWAN product implementation. Host firmware, protocol stack, RF matching, clocking, antenna and regional configuration remain part of system integration. An approved design should identify the exact chip and board revision.
Sourcing risks
Ordering a module in place of a bare IC, using an incomplete suffix or assuming a different SX family is interchangeable can invalidate the original requirement. Frequency capability alone does not establish regulatory permission for a finished product.
Before requesting a quotation
- Bare IC or module requirement
- Full MPN, approved package and quantity
- System market, board revision and requested date
- Exact-part sourcing or separately approved candidate evaluation
A practical procurement approach
Use the approved order code as the purchasing reference. For a new design, ask engineering to select candidates from manufacturer documentation, then submit the selected references for sourcing. For an existing design, review software and PCB implications before considering another family.
RFVero sourcing support
RFVero coordinates RF semiconductor identification, supplier enquiries and quotation preparation from China. Share the full manufacturer part number, quantity, required date and evidence requirements. Source availability, lot information, documentation, packaging and delivery terms are confirmed in the written quotation. Laboratory measurements and design qualification are not represented as in-house services.
Manufacturer references
Portfolio and documentation references checked 29 October 2026. These pages establish product context, not RFVero stock, authorisation or performance guarantees. Use the exact manufacturer datasheet revision and test conditions for technical approval.
